College Admissions Consulting

Cornerstone Prep is your student’s trustworthy compass, strongest advocate, and most valuable resource both before and throughout the college admissions process.

We meet on Zoom with students from around the world. Our close mentoring starts as early as the ninth grade, with meeting frequency increasing in junior and senior year. Starting at our inaugural meeting, we help position your student for maximum appeal and best fit. Emphasizing authenticity and dedication, we motivate students to commit to their academic and extracurricular passions, pursue leadership opportunities, and engage in their communities. In doing so, they naturally develop their “voice,” and demonstrate initiative, team work, and service to others.

We are known for tutoring our students in crafting compelling application essays, and for prepping students aspiring to enter programs in business, engineering, medicine, and music.

Step by step, from the first to the last drafts of their resume, summer program essays, and college application essays, their “story” unfolds. The result: a highly polished application package to each school on a student’s carefully curated list.

Our Track Record

Cornerstone Prep aims high—for the ideal blend of challenge and fit for its students. After assessing a student’s GPA, standardized test scores, extracurricular activities, awards, etc., we draft a balanced list of schools, including reaches, targets, and safeties. We encourage an honest consideration of preferred school size and location, degree of rigor, and programs relevant to a student’s proposed career.

Our students have been accepted by both liberal arts and pre-professional programs at some of the most competitive schools in the U.S., including Barnard, UC Berkeley, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Claremont McKenna, Duke, Georgetown, the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Northwestern, Notre Dame, NYU, UNC Chapel Hill, UVA, and many more.
